Ceramic Coating
in Livonia, MI
Ceramic coating for Livonia drivers, about 10 minutes west on Plymouth Road. Professionally prepped and hand applied, with durability measured in years.
Real protection, not a spray-on promise.
Plenty of car washes around Livonia will sell you a ceramic add-on at the pay station. That is a spray sealant that lasts a few weeks. A professional ceramic coating is a different thing: a concentrated nano-ceramic that bonds to clean, corrected paint and cures into a hard layer that stays for years. The difference is in the prep and the product, and it shows the first time it rains and the water runs off the hood in beads. If your car lives outside through Michigan seasons, a coating is the most practical way to keep the paint from dulling and oxidizing.
“I've been to a few shops and this is by far the best shop in the area! From their customer service to their work is impeccable! Always the best prices and flawless work. Highly recommended.”
“Excellent work, excellent customer service, and a great price for ceramic tints. Moody is the man for all-around cosmetic work. Will be back with my next car.”
“I got my car tinted and PPF here. An absolutely incredible job. Moody was prompt with updates and the quality speaks for itself. All my edges are tucked and the tint goes right to the edge. Never knew you could do that.”

Prep first, then the coating.
Ceramic coating is a liquid nano-ceramic that bonds to your clear coat and cures into a hard, slick, glass-like layer. Water and grime bead up and sheet off, washing takes a fraction of the effort, and the paint keeps a deep gloss while being shielded from UV fade, bird droppings, tree sap and road salt. We start with a decontamination wash and clay bar, do a light paint correction where the paint needs it, then apply the coating by hand, panel by panel, and let it cure indoors. It is protection measured in years, not the weeks you get from wax.
Ceramic Coating FAQ.
Does the paint need correcting first?
A coating locks in whatever is under it, so prep matters more than the product. Every car gets a decontamination wash and clay bar, and we do a light paint correction where the paint needs it before any coating goes on.
Is it worth coating a brand new car?
New paint is the best time to do it. The finish is as clean as it will ever be, so the coating goes on with minimal correction and protects the car from its first winter instead of its third.
Can ceramic coating go over PPF or a wrap?
Yes. Coating over paint protection film is a common pairing, and it makes the film easier to clean. If your car is wrapped or has film on it, tell us and we will recommend what suits that surface.
