Paint Protection Film
in Canton, MI
Paint protection film for Canton drivers, about 10 minutes north in Plymouth. Clear, self-healing urethane that takes the rock chips so your paint does not.
I-275 is rough on a front bumper.
If you get on I-275 at Ford Road or Michigan Avenue every morning, your front bumper is taking a beating you only notice when the sun hits it right. Freeway speeds, trucks and whatever the plows and salt trucks leave behind in spring add up to a hood full of chips within a couple of years. PPF is the only thing that physically stops that. For Canton commuters the usual place to start is the front end: bumper, hood, fenders and mirrors. If the car is new, covering it before its first winter means there is no damage to work around yet.
“I got my car tinted and PPF here. An absolutely incredible job. Moody was prompt with updates and the quality speaks for itself. All my edges are tucked and the tint goes right to the edge. Never knew you could do that.”
“Only crew i trust for all my tint, vinyl wrap and PPF needs. Very attentive to detail.”
“I recommend all my friends and family to Imperial Auto Films. The best customer service around paired with true quality work, and fairly priced. Would give more stars if I could.”

Invisible armor, installed by hand.
Paint protection film is a clear urethane layer that takes the hit instead of your paint: rock chips, road rash, bug acid and the light scratches that show up after one winter. The top coat is self-healing, so swirl marks relax out with heat from the sun or warm water. Every install starts with a decontamination wash and clay, then the film is patterned and cut to your panels, squeegeed flat and heat-set at the edges in a dust-controlled bay. You pick gloss or matte, front end or full body, and it carries a 12-year factory warranty.
Paint Protection Film FAQ.
What does self-healing actually mean?
The top layer of the film is an elastic clear coat. Light swirls and fine scratches in that layer flatten back out with heat from the sun or a rinse of warm water, so the surface keeps looking fresh instead of collecting wash marks.
Front end only, or the whole car?
The front bumper, hood, fenders and mirrors take most of the damage, so a front-end package covers the worst of it. Full-body coverage protects every painted panel and suits cars people plan to keep spotless. We will quote both so you can compare.
Can I put ceramic coating over PPF?
Yes, and it is a common combination. The film goes on first and handles the impacts, then the coating goes over the film and the rest of the paint so the whole car beads water and washes easily.
