Paint Protection Film

Daily-driver protection that pays off.
Daily drivers are the cars that need paint protection most, and Westland is a daily-driver town. A commute on Ford Road and I-275 is the kind of mileage that wears down a clean front end fast, especially after a winter of salt trucks and the potholes that follow. A front-end PPF package covers the bumper, hood, fenders and mirrors with a film that heals its own light scratches and sheds bugs and road film at the wash. It is not only for exotic cars. It is for anyone who wants the truck or SUV they just bought to still look new when it is paid off.

Invisible armor, installed by hand.
Paint protection film is a clear urethane layer that takes the hit instead of your paint: rock chips, road rash, bug acid and the light scratches that show up after one winter. The top coat is self-healing, so swirl marks relax out with heat from the sun or warm water. Every install starts with a decontamination wash and clay, then the film is patterned and cut to your panels, squeegeed flat and heat-set at the edges in a dust-controlled bay. You pick gloss or matte, front end or full body, and it carries a 12-year factory warranty.
Paint Protection Film FAQ.
What does self-healing actually mean?
The top layer of the film is an elastic clear coat. Light swirls and fine scratches in that layer flatten back out with heat from the sun or a rinse of warm water, so the surface keeps looking fresh instead of collecting wash marks.
Can you see where the film ends?
Applied properly it is very hard to spot. The film is cut to the panel and the edges are tucked and heat-set, so there is no obvious line across the middle of a hood or fender.
Is it worth it on a car I already drive?
Yes, as long as the paint is in good shape. We decontaminate and clay the surface first so nothing gets trapped under the film. It will not erase chips that are already there, but it stops the next ones.
