Lake air and stainless steel.
Trucks that live along Lake St. Clair deal with damp air off the water and a heavy layer of road salt every winter, and stainless steel is not immune to what sits on it. Iron dust and salt left on the surface are what cause the orange specks Cybertruck owners complain about. Full-body PPF keeps all of it off the steel, and a coating over the film makes it bead and rinse instead of cling. It is a long drive, so we treat it like the one-time job it is: decontaminate the whole truck, pattern every panel, tuck the edges and heat-set them so nothing lifts. One reviewer wrote that Moody was prompt with updates the whole way through, which helps when you are 50 minutes away.
“Only crew i trust for all my tint, vinyl wrap and PPF needs. Very attentive to detail.”
“I am beyond satisfied with the wrap I got done. Was quick, very easy to communicate with and affordable!”
“Moody is Awesome! tints on my truck came out A1, and I’m extremely picky.”
Two ways to go.

Cybertruck FAQ.
Will matte PPF change how the stainless looks?
Very little. A matte or satin film keeps the brushed steel look, it mostly just evens out the finish. Gloss film is the one that changes it, giving the panels a wet, polished shine.
Can I take it through a car wash?
Hand washing is best, and Tesla discourages automatic car washes for the Cybertruck anyway. With film on, a hand wash with plain car soap is all it needs, and a ceramic coating over the film makes it even quicker.
What are the orange spots on my Cybertruck?
Usually iron particles from rail dust or brake dust sitting on the steel and oxidizing on the surface. We remove that contamination before any film goes on, and once the film is on, new particles land on the film instead of the stainless.
